Frequently Asked Questions

Will eyelash extensions ruin my natural lashes?
No, Extensions are safe as long as they are applied properly by a trained professional. They should not feel heavy and should be isolated correctly.

When do I need a fill?
Fills are recommended every 2-3 weeks, depending on a clients lifestyle and lash cycle. The eyelash extensions are applied so that it can grow and shed with the client's natural lashes. During the fill appointment, grown out lashes are removed and replaced with a fresh lash. Fills must be booked in advance to hold a spot and maintain the look of lashes. Clients must have 40% of extensions remaining to be considered a fill. Anything past 4 weeks is also considered a full set.

Can I have eyelash extensions if I wear glasses or contacts?
Yes, eyelash extensions are harmless to anyone who wear contacts or glasses. Contacts must be removed before procedure. Make sure to bring your contact case and solution.

How do I prepare for my appointment?
Prior to arriving to an appointment, clients must arrive with CLEAN eyelids and eyelashes. The longer I take cleaning your lashes, the less lashing time I will have. Remove any eye make up residue with an oil-free make up remover and with the appropriate lash cleanser.

Also, I do not recommend caffeine before an eyelash appointment, as it can cause client’s eyes to flutter while closed. Clients will be laying for 1+ hours, it is best to avoid any caffeine to be able to lay comfortably.

Clients will need to plan ahead since they cannot get their lashes wet for 24 hours after their appointment. Showering beforehand is recommended.

Can I go to the gym after my appointment?
No, lashes cannot get wet for 24 hours after the procedure. This includes avoiding steam rooms and hot yoga. Clients must clean lashes after working out. Sweat and dirt build up can affect retention.

Do I have to clean my eyelash extensions?
Yes, cleaning your eyelash extensions is highly recommended. Clients will need to clean their eyelash extensions to remove remaining make up residue, debris and oil. Build up of these can cause blepharitis or lash mites. Proper cleaning of eyelash extensions is required for the best retention.

Can I wear make up with my eyelash extensions?
Make up is safe to wear with extensions as long as it is taken off every night with an oil-free make up remover and cleanse properly.

Gel and cream eyeliners are not recommended with extensions along with mascara. Gel/cream eyeliner and mascara can weaken the bond and break down the adhesive.
